Biomethane for Transport - Training Event - London 6.10.2008 & Sheffield 9.10.2008

Organised by Transport & Travel Research Ltd and CENEX, this low-cost training event on biomethane for transport will be supported by the BIOGASMAX project (www.biogasmax.eu). This practical training event is aimed at participants from Local Authorities and will cover the production of biomethane from waste, and its potential use as a low carbon transport fuel. The training will include hands-on use of the CENEX Biomethane Toolkit, enabling participants to understand costs and benefits of different scenarios for production and use.

Key topics

  • Understanding the characteristics of biomethane, methods of production and use in vehicles
  • Examples from city administrations and businesses on their biomethane experiences and the lessons they have learnt
  • Discuss with colleagues and practitioners about the partnerships needed to produce and use this low carbon fuel
  • Build your own scenarios for biomethane production and use, with support from trainers and practitioners
